Memories of Yogyakarta and a Journey Back Home

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word ‘Yogyakarta’ is the feeling of coming home. This city holds countless memories for me, and I feel incredibly fortunate that this year’s INNODEL event took place right here in Yogyakarta.

Now that INNODEL 2023 has officially come to an end, it’s time for me to bid farewell and head back to my hometown of Bandar Lampung. I started my day by checking out from the hotel in the morning and making my way to Stasiun Tugu Yogyakarta to catch the airport train.

Arriving at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) at 08:25, I found myself amidst a group of fellow INNODEL attendees who were also heading back to their respective cities. We took the opportunity to capture some memorable group pictures before parting ways.

My flight to Jakarta was scheduled for 10:00, flying with Garuda Indonesia. True to their reputation, we departed on time and arrived promptly at 10:40. With a connecting flight at 15:40, I found myself with some time to spare. So, I decided to make the most of it by writing this blog post.

By the way, during my layover, I had my first-ever taste of Subway. Originally, I planned to go for the Spicy Italian, but I hesitated, fearing it might be too spicy for my liking. Besides, it was also a bit pricier. In the end, I opted for the meatball sandwich with wheat bread. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! However, as a person of modest means, it did pinch my wallet a bit.

Anyway, I will provide further updates on my experiences later. For now, it’s time to wrap up this post and eagerly anticipate the next adventure that awaits.
